This product is supplied in a bare root format. Bare root means dormant, with the roots out of the soil and the plant may appear to be dead however different plants grow at different rates. Please follow these guidelines if you have any doubt to the viability of your plant: Scratch back a small section of the branch with a thumbnail or sharp knife. It should come away easily. If the underneath is green, the plant is fine, and just needs some care, time and warm weather. If it is brown, their may be an issues with your plant - sometimes the tips of smaller branches will die back, but the tree itself is still viable. If you find a brown branch, move closer to the main trunk and repeat, and check the trunk itself. If you find green lower down, prune back to where you find green, and it will shoot from there.
